This study consists of three parts: (I.) The biography of Nicolaus Puchnik (+ 1402), general vicar of the Prague archbishopric, professor of canon law at the University of Prague and author of the procedural canon law treatise Processus iudiciarius secundum stilum Pragensem. (II.) The genesis of the work, its importance and use. Puchnik wrote this treatise, in which he combines a theory of procedural canon law and applied higher education during the 2nd half of the 1380s.
Currently there is evidence of 15 manuscript copies of this treatise. (III.) A chapter by chapter synopsis of the treatise.
