Abstrakt
The paper deals with the conception of one relatively new discipline, the urban anthropology. The special attention is paid to the work of the French anthropologist Michel de Certeau.
Following his line of thinking the author holds that the urban anthropology has to focus on the set of practices aimed to the appropriation of the urban space.
