Abstract
The article is a report on the conference Professional development of teachers, which was held at the Pedagogical faculty of the Charles University Prague in April 2012. It brings an information about the profile of the conference, great interest for the theme of the conference, and informs about the international participation.
It further informs about the contributions and the names of the speakers and about the proceedings in four special sections.
