This article deals with the integration and educational success of migrants' children from non EU countries in the Czech Republic. Evaluation of this phenomenon is based on the secondary analysis of international OECD PISA survey 2009 data and the follow-up qualitative survey through semi-structured interviews with teachers from selected Prague elementary schools with the highest proportion of foreigners carried out in 2011.
The text focuses on the importance of school and pre-school education in the integration of migrant pupils and on migrant children socio-economic background, particularly family environment and problems related to lack of language knowledge.
