Abstract
This essay focuses on the reconstruction of a mind map of an artist's life in the first half of the 20th century. It takes account his movement amongst several metropolises and nations.
At the same time and in the same atmosphere one could find similar aspects which affected pilgrimage of artistic elites. These various aspects can be generalized to most artists' lives.
