For Husserl the fundament of the subjectivity of appearing lies in the formal aspect that "I act" in every experience and this formal aspect has no proper phenomenality. Henry in the contrary find a fundament of the subjectivity of appearing in the passivity of the immediate experience of itself which is materially full of self-refering sense impressions and has in that way its proper specific phenomenality which is according to Henry even the essence of the manifestation.
