Abstract
Article The Destruction of British Kabul Garrison, January 1842 deals especially with causes and conduct of the catastrophe of 16 000 British soldiers a camp followers during the march between Kabul and Jalalabad. There is necessary information for full understanding of whole event, so the article also deals with development of Anglo-Afghan relations, causes of the First Anglo-Afghan War and also with major part of conduct of this war, and these topics fill the rest of the article.
