Abstract
This article explores issues surrounding gifted pupils/students, with an emphasis on giftedness in geography. It describes characteristic manifestations of gifted students as well as certain mistaken notions regarding the so-called gifted, on the basis of a literature analysis and directed interviews with geography teachers.
In conclusion, it presents a profile of a gifted geography pupil/ student.
