Abstract

The measurements of the fraction of nitric oxide in exhaled air (FENO) as a noninvasive method is suitable for monitoring of childhood asthma. FENO is elevated in patients with atopic asthma.

The most valuable benefit of using FENO in children is in distinguishing respiratory symptoms caused by atopic asthma from those of other etiology.
