Abstract
The text is devoted to the subculture whose members were called "grebes" and "parasol mushrooms". This subculture was created by the Czech youth in connection with swing music and dance in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia.
Not only the reception of swing music in the Czech lands, but also the history of disapproving of jazz dances such as cakewalk or shimmy are described here.
