Abstrakt
The conference was focused on the comparison of the thoughts of Merleau-Ponty and Jan Patočka. Both philosophers were simultaneously and independently striving to get beyond the idealist or cartesian tendencies in the philosophy of Edmund Husserl.
Leading sholars in this research area, such as Renaud Barbaras, Pierre Rodrigo or James Mensch, participated at the conference.
