Abstract

Mononeuropathy refers to pathology affecting a single peripheral nerve. Good working knowledge of neuroanatomy and physiology is a key to achieving an accurate diagnosis.

Typically patient's symptoms and signs fall within the distribution of a single peripheral nerve. The main clinical features, etiology and pathogenesis of the most involved nerves of upper (part one) and lower extremities (part two) are described in the present paper.
