Abstract
The study presents an interpretation of the collective monograph Spor o přirozený svět (Dispute over the Life-World) focused on a polemic between phenomenological philosophers and scientist concerning the utility of the notion of Life-World. Following a critical analysis of the interpretations of the Life-World by the phenomenological thinkers the study examines the objections formulated by the scientists and tries to show why their carpings neither overcome nor uproot the concept of the Life-World.
