From 2009 to 2012, the project Cultural heritage as a starting point for developing pupils' knowledge and skills as part of education for sustainable development of local communities (CZ.1.07/1.1.00/08.0083) promoted the development of early education for sustainable development in the Czech Republic. The eight most successful pilot projects were further processed into examples of good practice and are included in this publication.
They show that, as a subject for school-based projects, cultural heritage offers an excellent foundation for working with schools and other regional partners. The projects contribute to the sustainable, community-based character of caring for our shared world.
