Multiphonon Approaches to Complex Spectroscopy

Abstract

An equation of motion method for solving the nuclear eigenvalue problem in a basis of microscopic multiphonon states has been upgraded so as to generate states solely composed of quasiparticle Tamm-Dancoff phonons. The method is applied to the neutron rich O-20.

A space covering up to three-phonon states is adopted to compute the electric dipole response.
