Abstract
The authors present a review article dealing with traumatic injuries of hard dental tissues and tooth-supporting structures of permanent teeth. The diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for each type of traumatic dental injury according to the contemporary guidelines of the International Association of Dental Traumatology updated in the year 2007 are reported in this paper.
A case report demonstrating the way of providing first aid for this type of injury according to the published recommendations is presented at the end of this article in the form of image documentation.
