Abstract
Therapeutic possibilities in osteoporosis are rapidly increasing. New drugs and their effects are based on deeper knowledge in pathophysiology and metabolism od bone tissue.
On the other hand also negative side-effects are going to be common, mostly osteonecrosis of jaw. There is a broad and unfinished discussion about the coincidence of osteoporosis treatment and the healing of fracture.
Up to now most information support the continuing of treatment.
