Abstract
The article deals with music information retrieval (music search) and its relations to video-sharing websites. First of all, the basic terms of musical terminology and important properties of sound recordings are defined.
These characteristics influence success of music retrieval. Author's generated (but sources respecting) separation of music search methods and its brief introduction is stated below.
Then the relations between this kind of searching and video-sharing websites are explained. Core of the article consist of practical introduction of analysis results of two websites made for music search, whereas different methods of music search are closely introduced, including the examples.
In conclusion, author of the article summarises, evaluates and comments the different methods of music search, including personal experiences with the websites, focusing on music search
