The aim of is this work was to compare microdiffraction and classic Bragg-Brentano instrumentation for identical small-volume samples. The standard material and five real forensic samples of unknown composition was studied using X'Pert PRO (PANalytical) difractometer system.
The standard and all of the samples sugest better angle resolution in Bragg-Brentano geometry that in microdiffraction. I case of real forensic samples the microdiffraction shoved to be more suitable, because it manage to identify more crystalic phases.
