After a ten-year gap, Vlastivědný sborník muzea Šumavy was published in 2011. It builds on its predecessors from the years of 1989, 1990, 1995, and 2001.
Three collections a year were issued then. The tradition of a periodical, which pub-lished mostly historical contributions from South-West Bohemia, dates back to the 1950s.
Vladimír Holý, the historian, began to issue Vlastivědné zprávy Sušická. The present Šumava Museum was a municipal museum then.
With the alterations of the museums' character, given mostly by administrative reforms, the title of the collection (bulletin) altered as well. Vladimir Horpeniak was another important per-sonality to determine the shape of the collection.
