The essay deals with the critical conceptions of the literary critics who influenced the development of Czech literary critic in the ninetieth of 19th century and in the tenth of 20th century. They created their own critical conceptions which were influenced among others by reception of Scandinavian literatures.
The essay concerns with reception of Henrik Ibsen's (1828-1906) works which was published in Czech periodicals between 1890 and 1914. It is evident that the critical essays of Czech literary critics were often concentrated on plays of Henrik Ibsen, they reported on them and analyzed them in many Czech periodicals.
It contributed to formation of various conceptions of Czech literary critics, e. g. F.

V. Krejčí, and A.
Novák.
