Abstract
Study text comprises in its first part the development outline of parts for information science, documentation and information science and communication of two international multidisciplinary bibliographic databases PASCAL and FRANCIS. The attention is devoted to producer (French INIST), to main characteristics of both databases and to multilingual thesaurus (available within "TermSciences" portal), and to classifications schemes (availables within "RefCode" portal).
The second part introduces main components of search system EBSCOhost shortly (searching modes, query language, information visualization) and all searchable fields and databases indexes in details with commentaries. Text contains many examples of queries including thein results valid to the end of 2012.
The text contains bibliography and lists of classification schemes in French, English and Czech.
