Publication at Faculty of Law |
2012

Abstract

The article deals with the history of the adoption of the commertial code by Austria and by the states of the German Bund in the 19 th century. The main focus is on the proceedings of the conference of the Bund that took place in Nurenberg in 1857 to 62 and which adopted the Code containing 5 books.

The Fifth Book on maritime law was not adopted by Austria therefore the Code was shorter than of the other states of the Bund.
