Article compares the results of a questionnaire research realized among pupils of the third year of four year secondary schools/sevenths year of eight year secondary schools and the respondents with finished basic and secondary schools chemistry education with test results of students of the first year of the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University, field of study Lower Secondary School Teacher Training in Chemistry in the subject Seminar in General Chemistry. The aim was to determine whether the university students mentioned above are able to solve problems in chemistry that the respondents of the questionnaire survey think students in the third year of four year secondary schools/sevenths year of eight year secondary schools should be able to.
