The contribution deals with the current state in the field of school leadership training in the Czech Republic. The starting point is the analytical description of the present situation, the naming of the determinant.
Empirical part devoted to the conclusions of the investigation research, from which the view of the leaders of the schools to offset the required contents of their training. It is based on the questionnaire investigation of three groups of participants in training programmes for management staff, which is accompanied by quantitative interviews with participants by outbreaks of groups.
The study aims to find out whether the principals are prepared adequately. It turns out that some of the issues are not sufficiently represented in the present concept, and that the system is becoming old-fashioned.
