The Journey of the Stela of Sebekhotep ... and the Sternbergs

Abstrakt

There is an Egyptian limestone stela in the collection of the Czech noble family Sternbergs in their Častolovie castle. Regarding the provenance of this stela no data exist (one can assume Abydos).

In the author's opinion the stela dates back to the end of the 11th or the beginning the 12th Dynasty. The owners Sebekhotep and his mother Iku are shown sitting together on a chair.
