Abstract
The aim of the article is to provide comparison of the main indicators of military power among the individual countries, as well as between the EU in total and the USA and the global comparisons of the world's biggest military powers. It also includes estimation of future trends.
Due to the differences of various input data multiple information sources were used for comparison. Current evolvement of changes in military power indicates the shift of the centre of gravity aiming prevailingly eastward towards emergent and growing economical powers.
