This treatise is based upon the research done as part of the work in the frame of rigorous procedure at the Department of Social Work of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, Prague. Its objective is to identify and typify the homeless people's approach to the options of education by means of social work.
In order to demonstrate the complex hardships affecting mainly the individual's social interactions, the underlying thesis is, among other issues, focused on the serious inhibitions in the mental and social components of the personality of such an individual who becomes homeless owing to his/her inability to solve and overcome critical situations. The thesis also represents an attempt at a pilot survey of the effectivity of educational influence on the people either already socially excluded or facing such a perspective, and of their eventual interest in education.
Special attention is paid to the reeducation faculty as one of the methods of social work which can to some extent help relieve their extreme social situation.
