The main theme of this thesis is engaging Alois Jirásek in actions of counter-Austrian resistance against politics of Czech deputies during the last years of 1st World war. It clarifies contemporary actuality of his historic novels and dramas even his engaging in public protest and program actions which were organized by a domestic resistance.
A special attention is given to a role of a ginger group, named Council of writers, of which chairman Jirásek was. The last part of the thesis gives an outline of activity of Jirásek in Czechoslovak parliament and transition of his ideas to the far-right politics.
