This article presents the history and development of The Polish Filology in Prague in the last ten years. Text is divided into few parts: organization structures, programs of study, staff, students and graduates, current research activities and perspectives.

These information may allow us to assess current situation and chances for the further development of this discipline as a so-called "small filology" in changing conditions.
