A Legitimate, Legal and Just War

Publication at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Faculty of Social Sciences |

Abstract

This book was written to contribute to the formulation of a new international legal regime regulating the use of armed force in international relations. The book provides an analysis of the meanings of legitimate, lawful and just war, and integrates the principles into a new paradigm of legal and justified use of armed forces, including the case of humanitarian intervention.

A model based on the principles of authority, goals, means, and consequences then provides guidance for creating a new international legal regime.
