The article deals with the Nineteenth Chapter of Leviticus (Va-yikr'a in Hebrew language) using the scientific methods to communicate the traditional Jewish point of view. It focuses on themes of Holiness, Oneness, Unity, faithfulness, responsibility, togetherness, love and respect etc.
All these phenomena are stemming from God The Almighty and they should be the integral part of everyday life in olam ha-zeh (i.e. this world) through the human obedience of Torah which can sanctify it and transform it to the place where God and man mutually meets each other. The author quotes number of Talmudic tractates, midrashim and the works of Jewish ethical thinkers, philosophers and mystics to elucidate the importance of this Biblical text for Judaism and tries to bring its spirit closer to the reader.
