Abstract
The article provides a brief overview of a research focused on connections between the Viennese Volkstheater and it's Prague modification. It includes a definition, theater's characteristics, how it was influenced and a short introduction of the scenes it used to be play.
An attention is also payed to some transformations of these theater in Prague cultural context.
