Abstrakt
Review of analytical techniques applied for studies of resins used in art as well as of their precursors (fossil resins, bitumens). The use of materials of vegetal origin (higher plants), liquid and semiliquid resins as well solid carbonaceous compounds is revierwed.
Classical techniques are subjects of the chapter (GC-MS, NMR, IR), as well as those more recently developing (Raman spectroscopy).
