Abstrakt
The aim of this report was to complete and extend the pilot study on grassland ecosystem services which was elaborated in 2010 for the European Topic Centre on Biological Diversity. The pilot study explained the choice of grasslands as a model ecosystem due to the importance which grasslands play in the European Union from the perspective of economy and EU budget as well as due to the long in tradition in agricultural management.
In the report, ecosystem services are quantified using habitat approach to ecosystem assessment. Moreover, trade-offs in provision of particular ecosystem services are analysed.
