Abstract
The piano cycle From Smetana's motives diary by Jaroslav Smolka has recently been performed by youht interpreters.The cycle deals with Smetana's incomplete compositional material. Its reconstruction results in the cycle of 11 piano compositions, characterized by fresh invention and a great range of expressive and technical possibilities.
Public performance of the cycle by youth interpreters confirmed its relevance to pedagogical needs during piano lessons.
