Abstract

Applying Foucalt's conception of subjectivation which in his history of sexuality denotes a man's wish to constitute himself as an ethical subject and curb his sexual apetite, this monograph chapter inquires into the rabbinic techniques of sexual restraint, and the construnctions of masculine identity.
