Abstract
The article focuses on Turkey, the diversification effort of European Union (EU) countries for the supply of natural gas and crude oil. It says that Turkey is located in or adjacent to regions and produces about one billion cubic meters (m(4)) of natural gas per year.
It mentions that the country is important in the transit of natural gas to the European markets and it should also consider the long-term potential economic development.
