Abstract
The chapter deals with the Cattle Problem ascribed to Archimedes of Syracuse, which has come down to us in the form of a poem. The chapter contains a detailed mathematical analysis of the problem, the history of its discovery, as well as attempts to solve it.
At the end there is a source code for a complete solution in Mathematica.
