From Inheritors to Survivors - Joyce, Kiely, McGahern, Banville, and Muldoon

Abstract

Analysis of the different forms and manifestations assumed by Joyce's influence upon a few selected post-war Irish writers. Use of the Derridean notion of "countersignature" as a new meaningful way of conceptualising literary "influence."
