Abstrakt
At the present time the conception of the competence is precisely presented and discussed in many professional educational studies and documents. In pedagogy the conception of competence is not precisely defined.
Here, also some of the teacher's basic competencies and their definitions are presented. One of the attempts to formulate the standard of the teacher in the Czech Republic is mentioned as well.
