Abstract
The paper presents the first results of laboratory analyses of archaeobotanical material obtained in the scope of rescue archaeological exploration of the area of Jebel Sabaloka and the Sixth Nile Cataract in autumn 2011 and the typical agricultural practices of the traditional flood-recession agriculture resorted to in the Sudan also in modern times.
