Abstract
This article analyzes the arithmetics textbooks for secondary schools written by the important Czech teacher Josef Úlehla (1852-1933). It gives an overview of these texts, analyzes their content, compares them with each other, and presents an unpublished methodological supplement to these textbooks.
Finally, it discusses the overlap of Úlehla's textbooks to the present.
