Equal in rank, different in the afterlife : Late Fifth and late Sixth Dynasty burial chambers at Abusir South

Abstrakt

The study deals with several Old Kingdom tombs dating to the Fifth and Sixth Dynasties which exhibit different social status despite the fact that their owners belonged to a more or less the same administrative group. The analysis shows that this development was result of deep changes in the society.
