Abstract
On September 29th, 2011, China launched its test-purpose space station Tian Gong-1. The article lists its parametres, analyses the relation of Chinese space launches to the date of P.
R. China's anniversary, mentions the subsequent unmanned test of Shenzhou 8 spacecraft docking and available Chinese space plans.
The article concludes with a summary of China's contemporary cooperation with Russia and very limited cooporation with the US in the field of space stations and other space research, including assessment of possibilities of further development. It also notices the way how this issue is referred in Chinese press in the Czech Republic.
