The subject of this study is the analysis of women's status and role in medieval culture. It closely focuses on how biological and cultural attributes semantically merge in women as a category of medieval culture and how they enhance the male requirement for female submissiveness, subordination and obedience.
The study aims to capture the concept of medieval women in the context of collective expectations, rules and dreams that arose in feudalism and that has been - in its latent form - reproduced until today.
