Abstract
The contribution reflects transformation of further teacher training in the area of health promotion implemented within study extending teacher qualification at Pedagogical Faculty of Charles University in Prague. It shows current conception of accredited study program Education towards Health based on European strategy of health care considering transformed school requirements in order to provide the graduates with competencies needed to teach Education towards Health at elementary and secondary schools.
As a result of monitoring teacher needs in practice, new suggestions developing further teacher training in health education are presented. .
