The point of study is to present intertextuality in biblical texts, especially on the occurences an forms of use of Lev. 19:18 in the New Testament. The first part of the treatise deals with methodological presumptions of intertextuality and shows the approaches of prominent world-class and Czech specialist in the area of literary theory.
The next part of essay is exegetical and the texts of Lev. 19:18, Matt.5:43, 19:19, 22:39, Mark 12:31, Luke 10:27, 6:27-28, Rom. 12:14, 13:9, Ga. 5:14, James 2:8, John 13:34 are examined. By usaging the text in Lev 19:18 in the New Testament, universalism and pluralism occur.
The process of intertextuality uncovers how a text penentrates from an ethnical and religious context of the Old Testament's Israel to Jesus' appearence, his time and the days of the early church that is potentially opened everyone.
