Use of team supervision in the development of team of dispatchers of a centralized dispatch centre of the Emergency Medical Servis of the Central Bohemian Region
Abstract
During the first half of 2011 there was a gradual merging of four regional dispatch centers of Emergency Medical Service of the Central Bohemian Region into one. When merging the working group, we noted a number of various misunderstandings, friction and other interpersonal difficulties of varying intensity.
For solving these problems we asked for cooperation an experienced supervisor and team coach. In this paper we describe our experience with the supervision of a team of emergency medical dispatchers.
Our experience wes extremely positive. Thanks to the team supervision, according to us, we were able to manage all fundamental difficulties and the team was able to cooperate much faster.
We also reccomend and discuss other possible methods of working with new teams of workers.
