Abstract

The DC glow discharge in pure oxygen has been studied for pressures 200, 300, and 400 Pa by means of optical emission spectroscopy. Optical scanner of original construction has been employed for determination of radial profiles of emission spectra.

We have focused on possibility of the collection of spectra with sufficient spectral resolution of atmospheric A-band at 760 nm, from which the rotational temperature of oxygen molecules can be determined.
